It was with great pride that on a cold November evening, last year, that David was presented with this prestigious award by Falklands war hero, Simon Weston.

This award was in recognition of his work within his local community, working with other organisations to produce a 3-D Carousel light sculpture.

"I was just so pleased to able to pull this off during a global pandemic, during lockdown" said David. "I was able to offer paid work to local companies who were struggling financially during the pandemic. We also produced a beautiful piece of art which was exhibited at Lumen 2021".

A Colourful Collection

David's first-love will forever be producing high quality pieces of fine art, either in his beloved oils or the modern medium of acrylics.

David's original artwork varies in size from small to large which is reflected in the price. David's work varies in price from £10 to £1,000 depending on the size and the time that it took to produce.

"My prices start so cheap because I want to offer everybody the opportunity to own a piece of original art. I would like to make an art collector out of everyone" said David with a wry smile.

Drawing Classes

IF you have always fancied trying your hand at sketching but do not know where to begin then why not join David's popular drawing class.

These short 5-week courses are held on Tuesday mornings, from 10-12pm, at the newly revamped Crewe Market Hall.

The next class begins on Tuesday 19th April, 2022.. Classes must be booked and paid for in advance.

The cost is £20 for all 5 weeks.

There is a new drawing challenge every week, so you would not be required to attend all classes but there are no refunds (unless the classes are cancelled by David himself).

1:1 Painting Classes

Learn a new skill

Where could you learn to paint like a professional artist under the tutelage of a Slade trained artist?

The answer would be at David's shop, come art studio, at the newly redeveloped Crewe Market Hall.

So, for just £10 per hour (not more than the price of one cup of coffee), you could learn a new stress-relieving hobby.

Wow friends and family alike with your finished masterpiece.

Art materials are not provided because everybody has different tastes.

(Also, once you get started you will want to continue to practice at home).

Community Art

 Walthall Street Mural

CREWE MP, Dr Kieran Mullan, asked me to become involved in a community art project to transform an alleyway off Walthall Street, in Crewe.

Sadly, these alleyways are now being used as dumping grounds for rubbish, causing a lot of distress to local residents.

However, with the community working together, we were able to move all of the rubbish and transform it into a beautiful, bright flower meadow. I was really happy to be able to help pull the resident's ideas together to do one finished mural.

Everyone worked hard painting the mural including Dr Kieran. The finished piece is guaranteed to put a smile on the face of anyone passing-by.

Art Classes

Find your inner Picasso

Love art but too afraid to have a go yourself...then why not pop along to one of David's many friendly art classes.

Too afraid to paint or draw in front of people then why not treat yourself to 1:1 tuition with Slade-trained David.

David runs classes in sketching, watercolour, acrylics and oils.

Most classes are held in CW1 or CW2.
